Statements

God of Truth, I pray tonight for every institution that has issued a statement resisting the policies and proposals of the current administration. Congregations, denominations, associations, universities--all manner of groups are saying "no" to hate and fear and "yes" to compassion. These statements alone will not change the world, but they are a starting point. They provide a shared vision to which each community can hold itself accountable. Bless the drafters, the wordsmiths, and the signatories. Give them steady energy to translate words into actions. Amen.
