Experts and Peacemakers

Gracious God, I pray that there are really smart people in Washington, D.C. who are experts on North Korean culture, history, and politics and are working diligently to avoid war. I pray they have counterparts in North Korea, South Korea, and China--smart people who are experts on the culture, history, and politics of other countries, working diligently to avoid war. I pray there are policy wonks and diplomats and international peacemakers working every angle towards peace.

I do not honestly know if such people have any access to power. I worry that we are down to reality television and international conglomerates making billions off weapons and fear. But I pray, God, that there are intelligent and knowledgeable people who have a little leverage in the halls of power. And I pray You bless them. Amen.
