God of Might and Mercy, please bless Angela Merkel as she fights for refugees. Guide her always towards hospitality and mercy. Guard her from those who are so weak that they fear strong women and suffering children. Grant her influence and power in her efforts to meet the needs of refugees and to call the rest of us towards compassion. Amen.
