God of Strength, I pray for those who demonstrated outside Mitch McConnell's office to protest the Republican healthcare bill in the Senate. Many of those present use wheelchairs or breathing machines. The legislation would drastically reduce Medicaid, which provides care for many people with disabilities, while giving a large tax break to the very wealthy. Police arrested 43 people, separating several from their wheelchairs and leaving blood on the floor.

Pour out Your Spirit--sustaining and comforting--on these courageous truth-tellers, who demonstrate not only for themselves but for the millions of people who would lose access to affordable healthcare if this legislation were to pass.

Pour out Your Spirit--revealing and convicting--on the senators who are so indifferent to the wellbeing of others.

Pour out Your Spirit--leading and challenging--on those of us who feel powerless to stop this legislation, that we may not stop working for a better way.
